July

July
Not everything has a name. Some things lead us into a realm beyond words.

welcome

to the Guildford Baptist Church website. We hope that you will find it inspiring as well as informative.

The Church is a fairly large evangelical Christian community, with a vision to simply be a church. In a world of mission statements and league tables, this vision may seem unambitious; however it is our conviction that as the Church grows organically so to speak: worshipping God, praying for the world, hearing the Scriptures, fostering charismatic gifts, giving hospitality, caring for one another, so the Church will also grow in mission, reaching the wider community with the very same gospel of Christ that is shaping our own lives together.

Central to that vision is the desire to be a multi-generational and multi-ethnic community, thus reflecting in a buzzing and diverse town like Guildford that there is 'neither Jew nor Greek, male nor female, slave nor free, but all are one in Christ Jesus'.

Ian Stackhouse
